FAQs

What if I get sick at the last minute and can’t attend my retreat?

First, I’m sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well and I hope you start feeling better soon! You will receive a REC credit redeemable for another retreat another time or a gift certificate for a friend. Use your credit anytime – there isn’t an expiration date!

I’m reluctant to share a room with someone I don’t know, but I still want to participate in the retreat.

Register early and reserve one of the two private rooms ahead of time. While you will still share one of the two large bathrooms with a few other participants, you will have your own bedroom for the weekend.

– The deluxe Mt. Baker Room has a king bed, fireplace, balcony and a stunning view of the sunrise over the mountains. +$150

– The cozy Writer’s Room has a full-size antique brass bed and oak rocker. There is a built-in desk if you hope to do some journaling during your retreat. +$115

I’m registering with a friend. Can we be placed in the same room?
Of course! In fact, if you are close friends, willing to share a queen or king bed, you will each receive a $100 discount off the price of your retreat.

I’m not crafty but the Creative Arts Retreat sounds like fun. Can I still participate?

We teach the basics at every retreat, so you are able to participate in any retreat with absolutely no previous experience*. If you are somewhat experienced however, there are several projects in which we will have helpers to take you beyond your current knowledge so you can learn something new! (And by the way, the excuse “I’m not crafty” doesn’t fly around here!)

*The only exception to required “previous experience” is the Mountain Biking Retreat where participants must be riding at an advanced beginner level.

I have particular dietary requirements. Will those be accommodated?

Please contact me directly so I can learn more about your specific needs. We do our best to provide delicious, healthy food for everyone. Very occasionally, dietary needs are such that we ask participants to bring some provisions for themselves, but let’s talk and see what we can do for you, first!
