Work with REC Retreats and turn your creative ideas for a retreat into reality. The word, retreat, is defined as the act of "stepping back" or "withdrawing". Our Lummi Island location is ideal for creating a sense of "escaping" from routine; it is this very withdrawal that allows participants to decompress and leaves them open to new ideas and learning.

It is easy to provide a beautiful facility in a beautiful location, but it takes something special to provide the beautiful sense of unconditional acceptance. REC Retreats asks that you pamper your guests by providing a delicious lunch. You are invited to bring take-out from town or organize the meal with a local caterer, and Kjerstin can help you make arrangements – free for the asking!

REC Retreats is more than just a venue. Customize your event: your fee includes an initial event-planning consultation with Kjerstin, focused promotion, and support during the planning stages as well as during the retreat.

REC Retreats would love to help arrange your meals and snacks – they are deliberately planned and "matched" to each event.
The exceptional food is part of the magic, so menus are varied and interesting, with high-quality, seasonal ingredients. Special diet requests are welcome (please contact REC Retreats with the specifics.)

For overnight events only, access to the kitchen is available for you to organize your own meals for an additional daily cost.

Once you make your deposit, REC Retreats gets right to work, saving the dates especially for you, kicking off promotion, and contacting subcontractors. For this reason, an event deposit is non-refundable.
Every REC Event "gives back" to the community. REC Retreats gives a little something, and as part of the event fee, participants are asked to bring something as well. Money, materials or labors-of-love are donated to non-profit organizations on Lummi Island or in neighboring communities such as the Lummi Nation, Ferndale or Bellingham. As the event host, you get to choose what will be donated and to whom.
